Fred Lavoie

Fred Lavoie started their work experience in 2010 as a Structural EIT at Lavergne Draward & Associates Inc. Fred then worked as a Structural EIT at Stantec from July 2011 to February 2012. After that, they joined Cleland Jardine Engineering Limited and worked as a Structural Engineer from March 2012 to May 2016. Fred then moved to McNeely Engineering Limited where they served as a Structural Engineer and was responsible for various project phases, including design, specifications, and construction. Fred also managed multiple projects simultaneously and implemented a company standard proposal template. In 2019, Fred transitioned to the tech industry and worked as a Software Developer at i-Sight Software by Customer Expressions until August 2021. Following that, they joined Rhumbix as a Software Developer and contributed to the development of a field data platform using React and Django. Fred led feature development cycles, collaborated with product and design teams, and introduced integration tests and improved web app responsiveness. Currently, they are working as a Software Developer at Civix since March 2023.

Fred Lavoie's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at St. Lawrence College and pursued a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma. Fred studied at the college until 2007, specializing in Civil Engineering. Following this, from 2007 to 2010, Fred attended Lakehead University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a focus on Civil Engineering. Lastly, Fred enrolled in a Full Stack Web Development program at Lighthouse Labs, where they studied until 2019.
