Rick Petrecca

Rick Petrecca is an experienced professional with a diverse background in project management, systems integration, and GIS analysis. Rick has a strong track record of leading and managing IT projects, including the implementation of statewide voter registration/election management systems and campaign finance projects for multiple jurisdictions. Rick's experience also includes managing IT projects for external and internal clients, such as the deployment of Virtual Desktop Interface environments and Microsoft Office 365. Rick has worked in various roles for government organizations, including the City of Southport and the City of Indianapolis/Marion County, where they were responsible for developing deployment strategies, managing contractors, and prioritizing application development projects. Additionally, Rick has a background in systems analysis and has managed the development and implementation of inventory control systems and computerized maintenance management systems. Overall, Rick brings a wealth of experience and expertise in project management and IT to any organization.

Rick Petrecca earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture with a focus on Wildlife Science from Purdue University, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. In addition to their formal education, Rick has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Jira Fundamentals Badge from Atlassian (obtained in October 2022), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance (obtained in March 2022), ITIL- Fv2 (obtained in March 2007), PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute (obtained in November 2013), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute (obtained in October 2019), and PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) from the Project Management Institute (obtained in June 2018). Additionally, Rick obtained the Certified Government Chief Information Officer certification from Rutgers University/Public Technology, Inc. in May 2013.
