Estimator/quantity Surveyor

The role

As a Quantity surveyor you will prepare cost estimates for projects, ongoing cost management of projects and preparing tenders. Working closely with our Operational leaders including our COO and Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil and water infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure all project costs are actively managed to ensure adherence to project and budget constraints.
  • Review contract terms and conditions, provide updated cost estimates for variations to contracts.
  • Report on project performance and provide updates to operational stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit tender documentation including priced/non priced attributes.
  • Perform research and analysis on industry trends, market conditions, work streams and upcoming tenders.

Skills and attributes we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the infrastructure industry
  • Thorough understanding of cost management processes and reporting
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft office suite, benchmark, or similar estimating software
  • Experience producing price/non priced attributes for high quality tenders
  • Ability to work collaboratively and within a fast paced environment
