The Organisation:
Civtec was established 2014 and has had a strongly upward trajectory since then. Civtec provide, telecommunications, directional drilling, and utilities works. Since inception we have continued to diversify and now have capabilities covering a range of services and technologies servicing the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. We have a dedicated team of Field Technicians, Designers and Engineers together with the latest technology and high-quality machinery provide civil and undergrounding services.

The Role:
As Payroll & Timesheet Administrator, you will be responsible for completing the end-to-end payroll process whilst providing insightful analysis of data and reporting to the business. You will work with stakeholders across the business to ensure our payroll processes are completed with accuracy and in a timely matter.

This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 24 hours per week.

Tasks include:

  • Processing accurate weekly and fortnightly payroll, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and Civtec policies and practices.
  • Timely and accurate response to payroll queries
  • Validation of data accuracy through systems, internal policies, and procedures
  • Accurate and timely filing IRD, ACC and additional reports
  • Maintenance of master data across the payroll systems
  • Support with onboarding and offboarding activities and assist with booking accommodation where required
  • Analyse and present information/data that support internal stakeholders and the business in making data driven decisions

To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates with:

  • Proven experience in a similar position

  • Proficiency in payroll systems, ideally iPayroll and Bamboo HR

  • Sound understanding of NZ Employment Regulations and Legislation regarding payroll and related matters

  • Proficient in advance MS Excel, capable of manipulating and analysing data to derive valuable insights

  • High level of attention to detail and a knack for managing multiple priorities

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented and analytical approach

  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex issues clearly

  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels

  • Understanding and commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity of information
