Karen Scheerer

Karen Scheerer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karen is currently serving as the Director/Lead Educator at C&K Charleville Community Kindergarten since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Experienced Senior Teacher at Charleville School of Distance Education in the Queensland Department of Education from January 2021 to October 2021. Karen also held multiple roles at Education Queensland, including Experienced Senior Teacher, STLaN, Take the Lead from January 2019 to January 2021, Senior Teacher from 2016 to 2019, and Acting Deputy Principal in August 2016. Before joining Education Queensland, Karen worked as a Special Education Teacher and Teacher at different periods from 2006 to 2010. Karen began their career in 1986 as an Assistant Manager at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Karen Scheerer obtained a Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood from the University of Southern Queensland, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Karen further pursued a Master of Education degree with a specialization in Mathematics from the same university, completing their studies from 2006 to 2009. Before their university education, Karen attended Concord High School in Sydney, New South Wales, from 1980 to 1985, although no specific degree or field of study information is available for this period.
