Robin Bonatesta

Robin Bonatesta is a Full Stack Developer at Cladwell. Prior to joining Cladwell, Robin was the Mobile Engineering Manager at BARK, where they managed a team of 5 iOS, Android, and backend engineers. Robin was responsible for launching a new iOS app to replace the React Native app within the first year. Since launching in December 2021, the new app has improved the app store rating from 3.2 stars to 4.9 stars, launched a new native customer support flow that reduced operating costs by about $1 million annually, increased login conversion by 8%, and supported over 200k monthly active users - an improvement of ~14% from the previous app. The new app also boasts a crash-free rate of 99.995%. Prior to working at BARK, Robin was a Software Engineer at theSkimm where they led the redesign of theSkimm app and converted Objective-C code to Swift. Robin also contributed to SkimmMoney codebase, which was deprioritized before public launch due to the COVID 19 crisis.

Robin Bonatesta has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and Fashion Merchandising from Kent State University. Robin also completed a Summer Study Abroad in Fashion Merchandising & Communication at the Paris American Academy. Robin has taken Visual Merchandising -- Social Media Marketing courses at LIM College and Photo Styling - Fabric Styling courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Robin is a graduate of Somerville High School.
