David Maggio, CHST has extensive experience in the field of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). David currently holds the position of Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Director at Clancy & Theys Construction Company since April 2020.
Prior to this, David served as an Area Safety Manager at Clark Construction Group, LLC from July 2015 to April 2020. In this role, they were responsible for program and policy development, writing, and implementation, as well as strategic road map development. David also managed and audited multiple high voltage electrical projects during their tenure.
Before joining Clark Construction Group, David worked as a Safety Manager at Southland Industries from January 2012 to April 2015. Their responsibilities included project safety management for various construction projects, including core and shell office buildings, residential construction, and university academic buildings.
Furthermore, David gained initial experience in the field as a Safety Intern at Southland Industries in 2009 and later served as a Safety Coordinator from June 2010 to August 2011.
Outside of their current role, David is also involved as a Board Member at Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina, starting from June 2023.

David Maggio, CHST graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety Sciences. David attended the university from 2004 to 2010. In addition to their degree, David Maggio also holds various certifications. David obtained the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in March 2014. David also obtained the Safety Trained Supervisor certification from the same institution in February 2012. David Maggio has further certifications in areas such as Mobile Crane and Rigging Inspection, Boom and Scissor Lift training, Confined Space Entry training, Trenching and Excavation Competent Person training, CPR, First Aid, and AED training, and OSHA 500 Authorized Construction Trainer. These certifications were obtained from different institutions, such as Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau, IVES Training Group, United Rentals, and the National Safety Council.
