Dan Steel

Dan Steel has extensive work experience in the finance industry, with a focus on financial analysis and management. Dan is currently the Chief Financial Officer at ClareMedica Health Partners since August 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Finance at Optum from April 2022 to August 2023. Dan also held various finance roles at OptumCare, including Senior Director of Finance, Finance Director, Associate Director of Finance, Senior Financial Consultant, Financial Consultant, and Senior Financial Analyst, between 2012 and 2022. Before joining OptumCare, Dan worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Ally Financial, where they were part of the financial controls team. Dan started their career as a Mortgage Broker at Allied Home Mortgage, originating prime, sub-prime, and home equity loans. Dan holds strong skills in Excel, Hyperion Essbase, and Access, which have been critical to their roles.

Dan Steel attended Blaine High School from 1994 to 1998. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at Minnesota State University, Mankato from 1998 to 2002.
