Chris Simmons has a diverse work experience in the housing industry and public sector. Chris started their career at Mid Sussex District Council as a Housing Benefits and Council Tax Assistant. Chris then worked at Downland Housing Association as a Team Clerk before transitioning to Sussex Police, where they served as a Special Constable. Chris later joined DOWNLAND HOUSING ASSOCIATION LIMITED as a Housing Officer. Chris then moved to Affinity Sutton, where they held the roles of Neighbourhood Manager and Ast Head of Housing (Projects). Currently, Chris is with Clarion Housing Group, where they have held positions as Head of Housing and currently as Head of Operations.

Chris Simmons obtained a Master's degree in Leadership and Management from Hult Ashridge in the years 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a BA Hons in Housing from Sheffield Hallam University. Additionally, Chris has obtained various certifications, including being a Chartered Member CMgr from the Chartered Management Institute in June 2022, an MBA from Hult International Business School in June 2022, and a Chartered Member CIHCM from the Chartered Institute of Housing in October 2015.
