Melissa Oakes

Melissa Oakes is an experienced sales professional with a focus on information solutions and research services in the higher education sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Information Solutions Product Sales at Clarivate since August 2023, Melissa previously held the role of Sales Director for Government, History, and Medical Collections at ProQuest from February 2013 to August 2023. Earlier experience includes positions as Sales Manager at De Gruyter and Account Executive for Government Information Services at ProQuest (formerly LexisNexis LRS division). Melissa began a successful career as an Account Executive at LexisNexis from September 1998 to December 2010, consistently exceeding sales goals and managing significant client portfolios across multiple states. Melissa holds an MBA from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Wright State University.
