Caitlin Woolsey has an extensive work experience in the field of art history and research. Caitlin is currently working as a Lecturer in the Graduate Program in the History of Art at Williams College since September 2020. Prior to this role, they served as an Assistant Director, Research and Academic Program at Clark Art Institute from July 2019. Caitlin also worked as a Manton Postdoctoral Fellow at the same institution from September 2019 to June 2021. Before joining Clark Art Institute, Caitlin was a Curatorial Assistant at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library from September 2018 to May 2019. Caitlin also served as a Visiting Instructor in Art History at Wesleyan University from January 2018 to May 2018. Additionally, Caitlin worked as an Instructor in History of Art at Yale University in July and August 2017, and as a Teaching Fellow at the same institution from September 2014 to May 2015. Caitlin has also held positions as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library from June 2013 to May 2014, as an Editor at the National Gallery of Art from March to August 2012, and as an Art Publications Editor, and Assistant Art Publications Editor at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden from September 2007 to March 2012. Caitlin's experience also includes a Curatorial Internship at the Guggenheim Museum in the Asian Art Initiative from June 2011 to December 2011.
Caitlin Woolsey has a Bachelor's degree from Skidmore College. Their field of study was self-determined, focusing on poetry and philosophy. Caitlin then pursued a Master of Arts degree in philosophy and aesthetics at Stony Brook University. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in art history from Yale University.
