Tonya Herbert

Tonya Herbert's work experience includes:

- Clarke County School District: Tonya served as a Physical Education Teacher since July 2006. Tonya has impacted the lives of over 18k students and focused on building a lifelong foundation for a healthy lifestyle, fitness, teamwork, and leadership. Tonya also emphasized creating human connections with students, their families, and the community.

- US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS): Tonya worked as a Biological Science Technician from May 2002 to January 2010. ARS is dedicated to leading America towards a better future through agricultural research. Tonya was involved in almost 700 cutting-edge research projects, and ARS has employed 2000 scientists and post-docs across the country at over 90 locations.

Tonya Herbert pursued their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from The University of Georgia, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. In 2007, they furthered their studies at Troy University, earning a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Teaching. Subsequently, in 2008 and 2009, Tonya attended Piedmont University to acquire an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
