Charles Liang

Charles Liang has a diverse work experience in the field of fluid engineering and complex systems science. Charles currently serves as the Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering for the ASME Fluids Engineering Division (FED). Prior to this, they worked at Clarkson University as the Associate Director of the Clarkson Center for Complex Systems Science and as a Professor. Charles has also held positions at George Washington University as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, at Stanford University as an Engineering Research Associate and Postdoctoral research fellow, at the University of Glasgow as a Postdoc research fellow, and at Iowa State University and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)/University of Karlsruhe (TH) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Postdoc research associate, respectively.

Charles Liang earned their bachelor's degree in Thermal Power Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2000. Charles then pursued a Master's level education in Information Technology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2000 to 2001. Following their master's, they obtained their PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer from the University of London from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, they received a certification as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer from Microsoft in the year 2000.
