Efraín Santiago

Efrain Andres Guirola Diaz has extensive experience in healthcare and interpretation, currently serving as a Patient Care Technician - Specialist at UPMC since 2020 and a Spanish Finance & Healthcare Interpreter at Akorbi since 2023. Previous roles include Patient Care Assistant and Spanish Healthcare Interpreter at UPMC Montefiore, UPMC Presbyterian, and UPMC Mercy Hospital, as well as a Healthcare Liaison at Casa San Jose. Efrain has also worked as a Spanish Interpreter and English Tutor with JFCS Pittsburgh, providing support in both healthcare and education. Efrain holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh and has contributed to research in the field, gaining recognition at the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting. Additional roles include serving as a Resident Support Aide for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
