Michael Horn

Co-founder And Distinguished Fellow at Clayton Christensen Institute

Michael Horn serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at Harvard Graduate School of Education since July 2022 and co-founded the Clayton Christensen Institute, where Michael has held the position of Distinguished Fellow and Executive Director of Education since June 2007. As Chair of the Future of Learning Advisory Board and Senior Advisor at Guild Education since May 2020, Michael Horn also operates as a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners starting August 2016. Previously, Michael was the Chief Strategy Officer and Principal Consultant at Entangled Solutions, and the Head of Strategy and Senior Partner at Entangled Group from October 2015 to May 2020. Michael Horn directed the Robin Hood Education + Technology Fund from October 2015 to November 2016, aimed at leveraging technology to enhance educational outcomes for low-income students. Early career experiences include serving as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School, where Michael co-authored a book on K-12 public education with Clayton Christensen, and an internship at AOL in 2005. Michael Horn holds an MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School and a BA in History from Yale University.
