Vumile Senene

Vumile Senene currently serves as the Country Lead for South Africa at Clean Air Fund since December 2023. Previously, Vumile held various leadership positions within the Department of Environmental Affairs from June 2013 to November 2023, including Director of Air Quality Management, where responsibilities included emissions measurement, stakeholder engagement, and the development of emissions reduction strategies. Vumile's experience also encompasses roles at the City of Johannesburg, focusing on air quality regulation and compliance, and positions as a laboratory analyst and chemist at various organizations, including HERSOL Laboratories and ESKOM TSI. Vumile's educational background includes multiple degrees from the University of South Africa in environmental management, risk management, and financial analysis.
