Ioannis Binietoglou

Remote Sensing Policy Manager, Methane Pollution Prevention at Clean Air Task Force

Ioannis Binietoglou currently serves as an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leicester and as the Remote Sensing Policy Manager for the Clean Air Task Force, focusing on methane pollution prevention and remote sensing data implementation. Previous roles include leading innovations in atmospheric remote sensing at the National Observatory of Athens and co-founding impworks, a web development company for scientific applications. Ioannis has also contributed significantly to the field through various positions, including a researcher at the National Institute for Research and Development in Optoelectronics - INOE 2000 and managing research projects at Raymetrics Advanced Lidar Systems. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from Università degli Studi della Basilicata, an MA in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, and an MSc in Applied Mathematics and Physics.
