James Hauser

James Hauser is a skilled professional with extensive experience in clean energy policy and legislative support. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at Clean Energy Buyers Association since August 2023, James contributes to the Market and Policy Innovation Team for the Southeast, focusing on stakeholder engagement and resource planning while assisting in advocating for clean energy initiatives in North and South Carolina. Prior to this role, James worked at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. as an Analyst, where responsibilities included researching politics and public policy across the US and Latin America, and engaging with Latin American governments on clean energy matters. Earlier experiences include a Legislative Assistant position at the US House of Representatives, a Special Assistant role at the Center for Latin America Studies, and involvement as a Field Organizer for the North Carolina Democratic Party. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy and Environmental Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University.
