Mark Porter

Mark Porter has a diverse and extensive work experience in the renewable energy and clean tech sectors. Mark currently holds the position of Vice President at Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance (REBA), where they have been since April 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Director at REBA from February 2019 to April 2021.

Before joining REBA, Mark worked at Rocky Mountain Institute as a Principal since January 2019 and previously as a Manager from March 2017 to January 2019. Mark also has experience as a Director at Enfocado Advisory since April 2016.

Mark's early career includes roles at Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance, where they served as a Senior Associate from February 2010 to April 2016, a Senior Executive from August 2009 to February 2010, and an Executive from February 2007 to August 2009. Mark began their professional journey as a Business System Consultant at Bishop Fleming from June 1998 to March 2007.

Throughout their career, Mark has gained expertise in commercial market advice, finance raising, mergers and acquisitions support, financial modeling, consulting, and business advice in the renewable energy, cleantech, and sustainability sectors.

Mark Porter attended Reed Business School from 2002 to 2005, where they studied ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). Mark did not complete any degree during this time. In 2023, Mark obtained a certification in Negotiation Foundations from LinkedIn.
