Misti Groves

Misti Groves has a diverse background in the energy and sustainability industry. Misti is currently working as the Vice President of Market & Policy Innovation at the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) since September 2021. Prior to that, Misti held the position of Vice President of Energy Marketplace at LevelTen Energy from December 2020 to August 2021, where they were responsible for overseeing the strategic development and commercial implementation of a renewable transaction platform.

Before joining LevelTen Energy, Misti was a Graduate Instructor & Capstone Advisor at the University of Colorado Boulder from August 2019 to December 2020. In this role, they instructed a graduate-level course on renewable energy and advised student groups in their Capstone Projects.

From September 2015 to October 2019, Misti worked as the Director of Cleantech Client Management at Schneider Electric Energy & Sustainability Services. Their responsibilities included developing and implementing client management processes, analyzing market trends and opportunities, and managing strategic risk for cleantech.

Prior to that, Misti was an Associate at Bingham McCutchen from January 2010 to July 2014. In this role, they represented clients in various energy-related litigation cases and provided legal assistance in areas such as permitting and contract issues. Misti also worked as a Summer Associate at Bingham McCutchen in 2008 and 2007.

Misti started their career as a Law Clerk at Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP in 2008 and as a Legal Intern at the California Attorney General's Office in 2006. Misti also gained experience as a Project Manager at Meredith & Associates from August 2003 to May 2005, where they managed a risk analysis program for school construction projects.

Throughout their career, Misti has demonstrated expertise in renewable energy, client management, legal and regulatory compliance, and risk analysis in the energy sector.

Misti Groves holds a J.D. degree in Environmental Law from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law. Misti obtained this degree from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences at UCLA. Earlier in their academic journey, from 1997 to 2000, Misti Groves completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington.
