Jim Sytsma

Jim Sytsma is the Vice President and General Counsel at Clean Energy. Jim has over 20 years of experience as an in-house counsel, and has been with Clean Energy for 4 years.

Prior to joining Clean Energy, Jim was the Vice President, Legal Affairs and Assistant Secretary at Arrow Electronics from January 2021 to April 2022. In this role, they were responsible for public company governance, SEC reporting, board/committee corporate governance and record keeping, securities and stock plan administration, entity management of more than 300 domestic and foreign subsidiaries, selection and implementation of global entity management solution, ESG strategy, reporting, and disclosure, legal department representative on global ESG team, corporate finance/treasury support, board member and officer of numerous domestic and overseas subsidiary entities, member of the governing board of a joint venture with a Japanese company, technology and equipment financing and leasing, cybersecurity governance, disclosure, incident response, and investigations, investor relations and communications, executive compensation, and M&A.

Jim has a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.S. from the University of Michigan.

Jim Sytsma received their Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School and their Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
