Mary Brady

Mary Brady-Enerson began her organizing career while studying at Michigan State University, working with student groups and the administration to shut down the T.B. Simon coal plant and increase clean energy investments on campus. During her previous tenure as a field organizer and field director at Clean Water Action, Mary worked to stop the importation of hazardous waste into Michigan landfills from Canada, educated and organized Michiganders in support of the Great Lakes Compact, and worked to increase the states Renewable Portfolio standard.

Mary then worked as a field and program director at Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana, led the Lansing Can Do Better coalition, and coordinated the field and data programs at Michigan Voice.

Following the 2016 election, Mary returned to Clean Water Action as the Michigan Director, where she is working to stop the flow of oil through the straits of Mackinaw, increase the state’s investments in water infrastructure and clean energy and stop the attacks on environmental protections coming from both the Trump Administration and the Michigan legislature.
