Regional Medical Director, Az/wi/ky at CleanSlate Centers

Sally Combest M.D., DABA, FASAM has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Sally is currently serving as the Regional Medical Director for CleanSlate Centers, overseeing addiction medicine centers in Arizona, Wisconsin, and Kentucky. In this role, they lead a team of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to provide integrated addiction medicine care. Sally also monitors center metrics and integrates additional clinical expertise.

Previously, Dr. Combest held the position of Area Medical Director at CleanSlate Centers, where they managed medical care for addiction patients in Texas and Arizona. Before that, they served as the Center Medical Director at the CleanSlate - San Antonio Center, where they provided medical care for individuals managing addictions to opioids and alcohol through medication-assisted therapy.

Prior to their work at CleanSlate Centers, Dr. Combest worked as a Clinical Associate Professor at UTHSCSA, providing anesthesiology care to patients and teaching medical students and residents. Sally also held various leadership positions, including Chair of the Clinical Competence Committee and Chair of the Resident Education Committee.

Additionally, Dr. Combest served as a Senior Medical Adviser at American Business Systems, LLC, and as the Vice-President of Lamar Anesthesia Associates. In these roles, they provided medical expertise and quality patient care.

Sally Combest M.D., DABA, FASAM completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at The University of Texas at Arlington. Sally then attended the University of Texas HSC San Antonio School of Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following that, they pursued an Anesthesiology Residency at the University of Texas HSC San Antonio. Additional certifications include Diplomate, American Board of Anesthesiology, and ABPM - Addiction Medicine (FASAM) from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM), obtained in December 2021.
