Website & Content Officer:

The role

The Website and Content Officer will primarily be responsible for building and maintaining CLEAR Global's content production, distribution and reach, which enables CLEAR Global to advocate around the importance of language in nonprofit and humanitarian communications and to develop and provide innovative global research and programs, language technology, and language service platforms for NGOs and other organizations. In addition, this person will support the Communications Coordinator in maintaining and developing website content and other communications channels. 

Responsibilities

Website management:

  • Lead efforts to optimize and maintain CLEAR Global’s website, including content updates, archiving, and redesign projects.
  • Support website refresh initiatives by working with internal teams to define requirements, manage timelines, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure the website taxonomy, tagging, and SEO best practices are consistently applied across all web properties.
  • Perform website tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the best user experience during redesigns and updates.
  • Support the integration of translated content onto the website, coordinating with translation teams and ensuring alignment with web standards.

Content production and management:

  • Upload content onto CLEAR Global’s website, ensuring it meets the organization’s web imagery standards and aligns with strategic messaging.
  • Develop, write, and edit content for the website and social media, focusing on clarity, engagement, and SEO optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce and update web content, including blogs, articles, and landing pages.
  • Monitor and report on website performance, using analytics to make data-driven decisions to improve user engagement and content effectiveness.

Project support:

  • Support the integration of HubSpot tools and processes into the website to streamline content management and marketing efforts.
  • Work with the fundraising team to ensure that web-based fundraising campaigns are effective and align with broader organizational goals.

Social media management:

  • Assist with managing CLEAR Global’s social media channels, including content scheduling, posting, and monitoring.
  • Support the Digital Engagement Officer in developing and executing social media strategies as needed.

Collaboration and teamwork:

  • Work closely with the Communications Coordinator and other teams to align website content with overall communications strategies.

  • Support the Communications Coordinator with media relations and other communications initiatives as needed.

  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to make campaigns successful

  • Work with the fundraising team to support communications with new and existing sponsors, partners and donors

Digital Engagement Officer:

The role

Social media management:

  • Manage CLEAR Global’s social media channels, including content scheduling, posting, and monitoring.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to drive engagement and growth across platforms.
  • Coordinate and schedule social media content, ensuring it aligns with campaign goals and messaging strategies.
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and curate content that reflects the organization’s values and mission.

Analytics and reporting:

  • Monitor and report on the performance of social media content, using analytics tools to measure engagement, reach, and other key metrics.
  • Provide regular reports on social media performance, offering insights and recommendations to improve content strategies.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize social media strategies for better engagement and reach.

Content production:

  • Collaborate with the communications team to produce and share multimedia content that engages and informs target audiences.
  • Ensure all social media content is consistent with the organization’s branding and messaging guidelines.

Website management:

  • Assist with managing and updating content on CLEAR Global’s website as needed, including uploading content and ensuring it aligns with SEO best practices.
  • Support the Website and Content Communications Officer in website optimization efforts as needed.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Website and Content Officer and other team members to ensure social media content complements overall communications efforts.

Qualifications and requirements (both positions)

CLEAR Global is seeking an energetic and proactive team player to contribute to our work in fundraising and business development. The Website and Content Officer should be enthusiastic about the importance of increasing access to knowledge through language. The right candidate enjoys working independently and implementing new ideas. This person should agree with CLEAR Global’s basic beliefs and values and can work virtually with team members based throughout the world.

  • Graduate, preferably with a degree in international development, communications, marketing or other relevant field.

  • Demonstrated interest in language and social good, and commitment to the organizational values.

  • At least one year’s experience in communications, with a proven track record in developing content, websites, digital channels, and marketing and a clear aptitude and enthusiasm to learn more.

  • Excellent writing and research abilities; writing sample required.

  • Strong organizational skills, with a passion for process.

  • Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and database management, ideally with experience of CMS platforms (especially WordPress), CRM systems like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and social media marketing tools.

  • Resourceful, innovative, and able to self direct

  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

  • Unimpeachable ethical standards and personal integrity.

  • Knowledge of other languages a plus
