John Oleon

John Oleon has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. John is currently a Managing Director of Clearing and Settlement Operations at Clear Street, where they oversee back office and clearing operations, including operational product responsibility and planning for various business areas. John is also the site lead for the Tampa office.

Prior to joining Clear Street, John served as the Managing Director Head of Brokerage Operations and Client Services at Hilltop Securities Inc. In this role, they were responsible for operations and client service, including customer service, settlement, asset servicing, and conversion efforts to FIS 360 products.

Before Hilltop Securities, John worked at Fidelity Investments as the VP- Head of the International Operations and Service group. John headed the international operations, including reconciliation, settlement, stock loan, and client service. John also played a major role in infrastructure upgrades and multi-currency processing.

John's experience also includes roles at Jefferies & Company, Knight Equity Markets, Banc of America Securities, Schroders, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., UBS Investment Bank, and Salomon Brothers. These roles involved relationship management, technology leadership, international operations management, and equity operations.

John Oleon has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Strayer University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2008. In 2014 to 2016, they completed a three-year program at the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School Sifma, earning a Certificate of Completion. During the same period, they also earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Strayer University. In 2016, John participated in the Fidelity Accelerated Leadership Program. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Managing Stress for Positive Change from LinkedIn in March 2019, Having Difficult Conversations from LinkedIn in February 2019, and Securities registration from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in May 2000.
