Chris Bowen, CISSP, CCSP, CIPP-US, CIPT has significant experience in the field of cybersecurity and privacy. Chris is the Founder, Chief Privacy Officer & SVP of Professional Services at ClearDATA, where they have been responsible for developing healthcare-exclusive security and compliance solutions. Prior to that, they held the position of Founder & CEO at DirectClarity, where they oversaw business operations and provided consulting services. Chris also served as the Director of Market Development at First Solar and Campaign Manager for the Republican Campaign for Governor. Chris has a background in strategy and technology consulting and has worked in various roles in organizations such as LeapSource, Inc., Arizona House of Representatives, Maricopa County, Donor Network of Arizona, and the U.S. House of Representatives. Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated expertise in data privacy, healthcare IT, and strategic planning.

Chris Bowen holds an MBA degree from Arizona State University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the same university, completing their studies from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Chris has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. These certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) obtained from (ISC)² in March 2015, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² in July 2016, Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in October 2010, and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) from IAPP in November 2011. Furthermore, Chris completed a program called Achievers I at the Bell Leadership Institute in 2014.
