Roger Malta

Associate Researcher at Clearnote Health

Roger Malta has worked in the field of precision epigenomic medicine since 2019, when they began as a Research Assistant at Bluestar Genomics, Inc. Prior to that, they were a Clinical Research Associate at StemGenex from 2015 to 2019, where they were responsible for sterilizing and setting up the lab for receiving patient samples, as well as isolating stem cells from patients' derived adipose tissue and performing platelet-rich plasma work on patients' blood. From 2001 to 2015, they worked as a Research Associate at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, managing the laboratory fiscal year budget, interacting with other laboratory supervisors, and ensuring the laboratory was stocked with essential supplies. Roger also performed PCR-based DNA sequencing reactions and ensured the ABI 377 and ABI 3100 sequencers were in optimal working condition. Before that, they worked as a Lab Technician at Genetic BioSystems Inc. from 1996 to 2001.

Roger Malta attended UC San Diego from 1999 to 2002 and received a Bachelor's degree during this time.
