Lorenzo Pasqualetto Cassinis has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 as a teacher of basic chess for children at Compagnia della Vela. In 2016, they joined Celestial Robotic Technologies as a MASS Earth Engineer and also became a Trainee at ESTEC TEC-MTT: CubeSats Thermal Design at the European Space Agency - ESA. In 2017, they became a GNC Engineer in the PROBA-3 Team at GMV and an On Call Employee - Systems Engineering Team at ISIS - Innovative Solutions in Space BV. In 2018, they began a Network Partnering Initiative (NPI) fellowship in the GNC section for the pose estimation of uncooperative spacecraft as part of their current Ph.D. program at Delft University of Technology. In 2021, they became a Visiting Student Researcher & Fulbright Fellow at Stanford University and in 2022, they will become a GNC and Relative Navigation Engineer at ClearSpace and a Visiting Researcher at Airbus Defence and Space.
Lorenzo Pasqualetto Cassinis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova in 2012-2015. Lorenzo then went on to receive a Master of Science (MSc) in Aerospace Engineering - Space Flight track - Space Engineering Profile from Delft University of Technology in 2015-2017. Lorenzo is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering at Delft University of Technology, which they began in 2018 and is expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, they obtained an IELTS certification from the British Council in September 2014.
