John B. Chesson

John B. Chesson has diverse work experience in various roles. John B. most recently served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Clearspeed, where they utilized AI-enabled technology to identify fraud attempts in voice conversations. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Lyten, where they focused on advanced materials development for batteries, composite systems, and sensors. Before that, they held the positions of Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Product Security at Brocade, where they managed infosec functions and supervised risk assessments. John also has a background in law enforcement, having served as a Supervisory Special Agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. John B. began their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Quest Tech/Engineering Resources Inc. and Vitro Corporation. Furthermore, they served as a Lieutenant in the Maryland Army National Guard.

John B. Chesson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Military Institute. John B. then obtained a Master of Science degree in Information System Security from Colorado Technical University in 2006.

In addition to their degrees, John has several certifications. John B. is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) obtained from (ISC)² in July 2013. John B. also holds certifications from GIAC, including GIAC SECURITY ESSENTIALS (GSEC) obtained in November 2010, GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP) obtained in June 2013, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) obtained in August 2012, GIAC Certified Perimeter Protection Analyst (GPPA) obtained in March 2012, and GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) obtained in December 2011. Additionally, they have obtained Security+ Exam (2008 Edition) from CompTIA in February 2010 and Network+ Exam (2009 Edition) from CompTIA in July 2009.
