Alexios Toptsoglou Irmcert

Alexios Toptsoglou IRMCert has extensive experience in the field of risk management. Alexios started their career in 2010 as a Sergeant in the Greek Army. Alexios then moved on to NATRAKEM SA, where they worked as an Operations & Supply Chain Assistant Manager from September 2011 to August 2012.

In 2013, Alexios joined Santander UK as an Operational Control & Project Specialist until February 2015. Alexios then transitioned into the role of Risk Business Partner until June 2017.

Afterwards, Alexios joined Gallagher as an Enterprise Risk Manager from June 2017 to September 2019. Alexios then moved on to PPRO, where they served as an Enterprise Risk Manager from October 2019 to July 2020 and later became the Head of Enterprise Risk from August 2020 to October 2022. During their time at PPRO, they played a key role in establishing the Group's second Line of Defence Risk Function and developing the Risk Policy, Framework, Methodology, Appetite, Tolerance & KRIs.

Most recently, Alexios worked at Docler Holding Luxembourg as a Senior Group Risk Manager from November 2022 to December 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President - Risk Management at Clearstream starting from December 2023.

Throughout their career, Alexios has demonstrated strong expertise and skills in risk management and has played instrumental roles in developing risk policies, frameworks, and systems that ensure effective risk management across organizations.

Alexios Toptsoglou IRMCert completed a Master's Degree (MSc) in Operations, Project and Supply Chain Management at The University of Manchester from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Management from the Technological Educational Institute of Patras between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, Alexios has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Operational Risk Lead Manager from PECB (2023), Digital Risk Management Certificate from the Institute of Risk Management (2020), Certificate in Risk Management in Financial Services from the Institute of Risk Management (2016), Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management from ILM, and the Professional Banker Diploma from The Chartered Banker Institute.
