Danny Aibar

Danny Aibar has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Danny started their career as a Project Manager at Locus Energy in 2011, where they provided project management and technical support services for the installation of data acquisition systems in solar PV projects. Danny then moved on to become a Senior Applications Engineer at the same company in 2013, conducting customer-facing design reviews and scoping meetings for data acquisition system deployment, and automating asset performance reporting using REST API, Excel, and VBA. In 2016, they were promoted to the role of Director of Applications Engineering, where they programmed controllers for zero energy export solar PV power plants and coordinated the delivery of SCADA systems from engineering teams. Danny left Locus Energy in 2019 and joined Bazefield AS as a Software Integration Engineer. In this role, they contributed to the development of solar, wind, and battery storage energy performance monitoring asset management software and deployed data historian/webserver in Microsoft Azure or customer on-premise environments. Danny also provided professional services and custom reports for renewable energy industries. Currently, Danny is working as a Software Engineer at Cleartrace, where they are involved in developing backend API services for dashboard, onboarding, and data acquisition, utilizing microservice and serverless architectures on AWS. Danny also provides support for delivery and implementation teams in all facets of the technology stack.

Danny Aibar completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics at Middlebury College from 2006 to 2010. Danny then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Systems Engineering, at Columbia Engineering from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Danny obtained certifications in Systems Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York in May 2016 and PVI 200 NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate from the Center for Sustainable Energy at Bronx Community College in August 2012.
