Denise Avery-Reinhoudt, CPHR has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Denise started their career at Stewart Title Limited, where they held various positions, including HR Director and HR/Operations Manager. In these roles, Denise was responsible for managing HR functions, administration, client services, compliance, employee relations, and product development. Denise also designed and implemented HR policies, managed talent acquisition and talent management initiatives, and oversaw learning and development programs.
Denise then moved on to the Government of Nova Scotia - Public Service Commission, where they initially worked as an HR Consultant, providing support and consultation on various HR functions, including employment legislation, talent management, and compensation. Denise was later promoted to the role of Manager, Employer Services, where they led a team responsible for managing the administration of pension plans and building relationships with government departments and agencies.
Following their time at the government, Denise joined Sobeys Inc, where they held the roles of Director, Business Technology Center - HR Programs, and Director, HRIT, Center of Expertise. In these positions, they focused on optimizing HR information technology systems, enhancing HR business processes, and managing the deployment and adoption of SAP SuccessFactors HCM. Denise also served as the Chair of the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Food User Group for North America.
Most recently, Denise worked at Clearwater Seafoods LP as the Senior Director, HR Global COE. In this role, they were responsible for establishing and managing Clearwater's Global HR Center of Expertise, developing new HR tools and processes, implementing global HR systems and technology, and leading talent management and succession planning initiatives.
Throughout their career, Denise has demonstrated expertise in HR strategy, project management, HRIT, talent management, and organizational design. Denise has a strong focus on delivering results and driving successful business outcomes.
Denise Avery-Reinhoudt, CPHR, has a diverse educational background that spans multiple fields. Denise'seducation history includes a Certificate in Comprehensive Project Management from Saint Mary's University in 2018, where they focused on project management. Denise obtained a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Calgary from 2015 to 2021, specializing in Human Resources Management.
