Appolonia Butler-Hill has a diverse work experience in various industries. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Public Health Intern at Caffee Caffee and Associates Public Health Foundation Inc. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at The Rehabilitation center of South Mississippi as a Physical Therapy Aide/Administrative Support. Appolonia then joined Bienville Orthopaedic Specialist in 2011 as a Medical Assistant Lead. In 2012, they joined Gwinnett Medical Center, where they worked as an Imaging Support Technician and later became a Lead Patient Benefits Specialist. In 2017, they briefly worked as a Benefits Intake Specialist at PruittHealth before joining Clearwave Corporation as a Customer Experience-EDI Specialist. Appolonia Butler-Hill obtained their Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Community Health Sciences from Jefferson Davis Community College between the years 2003 and 2008. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Community Health Sciences with a concentration in Health Promotion from The University of Southern Mississippi from 2008 to 2011. Later, they went on to earn their Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Southern New Hampshire University from 2014 to 2017.

In terms of additional certifications, Appolonia Butler-Hill completed the following courses: Certification of Completion- EDI 201- Deciphering HIPAA EDI Transactions- Enrollment & Eligibility Training, Certification of Completion- HIPAA EDI 110 Enveloping & TR3 Viewing, and Certification of Completion- HIPAA EDI 101 Introduction to the HealthCare EDI Environment, all at the EDI Academy. Appolonia also obtained a certification in Patient Safety and Quality from Southern New Hampshire University in February 2017.
