Sherif Omar

Sherif Omar, P.Eng, M.Eng, PMP, GSC has extensive experience in project management and infrastructure projects. Sherif Omar, has been a Project Director at Clearway since 2015, where they successfully managed a diverse portfolio of projects worth over $250M. Sherif Omar, mentored and coached project management resources and others to increase understanding of methodology, tools, and capabilities. Sherif obtained and analyzed basic reporting metrics, developed and maintained project management systems and business intelligence tools, and engaged in strategic planning and business development functions. Sherif Omar, also played a key role in claims negotiation and dispute resolution, evaluated project contracts, and worked with clients to address specifications and resolve scheduling issues.

Prior to their role at Clearway, Sherif worked as a Sr. Project Manager at Clearway from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they developed strong professional relationships to mitigate roadblocks and client service issues. Sherif Omar, thoroughly reviewed contract documents and developed effective work plans based on client objectives and project requirements. Sherif ensured compliance with OHSA requirements, gathered requirements, and adjusted plans to manage changes. Sherif Omar, leveraged project management software and created workflow diagrams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Before joining Clearway, Sherif held positions such as Project Manager at Black & McDonald Limited from 2014 to 2015, Construction Coordinator at Dufferin Construction from 2012 to 2014, Project Engineer at Arabian Peninsula Pioneers Contracting from 2009 to 2011, and Project Control Service Engineer at Projacs from 2008 to 2009.

Sherif holds a P.Eng, M.Eng, PMP, and GSC designation. Sherif Omar, has demonstrated expertise in project management, strategic planning, risk analysis, and stakeholder management throughout their career.

Sherif Omar obtained their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport between 2002 and 2007. Sherif Omar, then pursued a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto between 2012 and 2013. In terms of additional certifications, Sherif became a Professional Engineer (PE) through Professional Engineers Ontario in 2021. Sherif Omar, also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2016 and became Gold Seal Certified (GSC) through Gold Seal Certification in the same year. Sherif also attended the Kawmeya Language School, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period.
