Karen Rile has been working at the University of Pennsylvania since September 1990 as a Creative Writing Faculty. Additionally, she is the Editor and Founder of Cleaver Magazine, where she publishes a quarterly literary magazine. Karen also runs RileSmith Arts, specializing in website design for creative individuals and arts groups. As a Contributing Writer for Violinist.com, she writes a blog for parents of young musicians. With a background in freelance writing, Karen has also contributed to JSTOR Daily Magazine in the Arts & Culture section. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from Bennington College and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
