Joey Kang

Joey Kang started working as a Software Engineer at Cledge in December 2022. In this role, they designed and implemented algorithms for the Student Metrics API, improving efficiency and intuitiveness. Joey also created a testing suite to evaluate and enhance the existing algorithms.

In April 2023, Joey joined Mighty Coders as an Afterschool Mentor. Joey educated students aged 7-14 on coding languages and programs, including Scratch, Python, and Javascript. Additionally, they instructed 20 students on the fundamentals of Computer Science and Scratch at two elementary schools.

Joey also worked as a Frontend Developer at DUBvelopers from January to May 2023.

Before their software-related roles, Joey gained experience as a Supply Chain Technician at UW Medicine from October 2022 to March 2023. Joey managed inventory using specialized software, transported and cleaned medical equipment, and effectively communicated with hospital staff to prioritize patient care.

Joey Kang completed their high school education at Inglemoor High School from 2017 to 2021. They then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics at the University of Washington from 2021 to 2025.
