Smita Bhargava

Smita has been with Clements since 2006 and has spent over 25 years in the insurance industry. As an Officer of the company and Advisor to the CEO, her areas of expertise include sales and account management, leadership oversight, strategic insurers relationships, and underwriting.

Smita’s specialty is developing customized insurance solutions for organizations in high risk areas around the world. Her strength is forging strong relationships with underwriters and insurance providers globally.

Smita speaks at conferences, forums, and to the press. She highlights the importance of mitigating and managing risks, whether businesses are in relatively low risk countries or active war zones. She began her insurance career in India in 1996 as a broker and has worked in various insurance markets.

Smita is pursuing her aviation license, and if she cannot obtain her instrument rating she plans on taking up golf.
