Andy Assaley

Andy Assaley has extensive experience in basketball operations, currently serving as the Director of Basketball Operations at Clemson University since June 2022. Prior to this role, Andy worked at the University of South Carolina from April 2012 to May 2022, where responsibilities included team travel, managing basketball equipment, preparing for COVID-19 response, serving as an academic representative, and overseeing the budget for men's basketball. Andy also held the Director of Basketball Operations position at Kansas State University from April 2006 to April 2012 and has a foundational background in basketball at the University of Cincinnati, where various roles included assistant coach and video coordinator. Earlier professional experiences include teaching mathematics and computer science at Warren County Alternative School and serving as a Trust Associate at Fifth Third Bank. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Labor and Employee Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Cincinnati, along with a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education from Xavier University.
