Eric M. Davis is an academic with extensive experience in the field of chemical engineering. Currently serving as Associate Professor and Associate Chair at Clemson University since August 2015, Eric has held positions as both Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes a role as an NRC Post Doctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology focusing on polymers for energy storage and delivery from July 2013 to July 2015, and as a Research Fellow at Drexel University, where research concentrated on water sorption and transport in glassy polymers from September 2008 to June 2013. Eric began academic work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Clemson University, engaging in the fractionation and characterization of carbonaceous pitches using MALDI-TOF from 2006 to 2008. Eric earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University in 2013 and obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University in 2008.
