Jennifer Thackston

Community Risk Reduction Program Manager at Clemson University

Jennifer Thackston is an accomplished professional in the field of fire and emergency services, currently serving as the Lt, Community Risk Reduction and Accreditation Manager at Clemson University since August 2011. In this role, Jennifer coordinates community risk reduction processes, oversees performance measures, manages data quality and analytics for NFIRS and NEMSIS, and leads continuous improvement initiatives related to accreditation. Jennifer has also taught undergraduate courses at Clemson University, achieving a 100% pass rate for the National Registry EMR exam. Additionally, Jennifer serves as an Adjunct Instructor for Upstate EMS Council and has extensive experience as an EMS Data Manager and Paramedic Field Training Officer in Pickens County. Academically, Jennifer holds a Master of Public Administration from Clemson University, earned in 2021, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education, completed in 2007.
