Wael Abdalmageed

Wael AbdAlmageed is a Professor at Clemson University since January 2024 and has served as Research Director, Research Team Lead, and Research Lead at the Information Sciences Institute from October 2013 to the present. AbdAlmageed also holds positions as Research Associate Professor at both the USC Department of Computer Science and the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering since December 2022 and December 2019, respectively. Prior experience includes Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Maryland from January 2004 to October 2013, CEO of Video Semantics from July 2009 to September 2013, and Visiting Assistant Professor at New Mexico Tech in 2003. AbdAlmageed earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of New Mexico and a Graduate Diploma in Software Engineering from the Information Technology Institute. Research interests include computer vision and document image analysis.
