Kris C. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. They began their career at Tampa First Assembly of God, where they served as a Youth Pastor, Bookkeeper, and Music Director/Worship Leader. They also provided spiritual guidance and mentoring to teenagers.

In 2000, Kris C. transitioned to Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller, where they held several positions. They started as the Accountant III and Cash Systems Manager, overseeing cash receipting functions and managing a large accounting team. They were responsible for tasks such as cash handling best practices, cash audits, financial reporting, and staff management.

In 2012, Kris C. joined an ERP implementation team, where they played a crucial role in the configuration and implementation of the Oracle e-Business Suites ERP system. After the implementation, they became an application and process analyst, providing support to various departments within the Clerk's Office and Hillsborough County government.

They then moved on to the role of Accounting Manager, focusing on Oracle EBS R12 support and providing financial analysis and training. In 2015, Kris C. became the Budget Manager, responsible for managing the Clerk's Office expenditure and revenue budget.

Their most recent position is Senior Director of Budget & Clerk's Accounting, where they work closely with organizational Chiefs and department leads to develop, monitor, and set financial goals. This role involves detailed financial analysis, budget preparation, revenue forecasting, and financial reporting.

Throughout their career, Kris C. has demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, ERP implementation, and staff leadership.

Kris C. has a diverse education history with multiple degrees and certifications. In 1997, they obtained a Diploma in Ministerial Studies from Global University - Berean School of the Bible. Following this, from 2000 to 2003, Kris attended Hillsborough Community College and earned an Associate in Arts degree in Business Administration. They then pursued further education at the University of South Florida, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting with Summa Cum Laude honors in 2006. Kris continued their studies at the same university and completed a Master's Degree (MAcc) in Accounting & Information Systems from 2011 to 2013.

To enhance their technical skills, Kris attended Oracle University in 2014 for technical studies focused on Oracle E-Business Suites Applications and Oracle Cloud. More recently, Kris enrolled in the Certified Public Manager (CPM) program at Florida State University in 2019, completing it in 2020.

In addition to their degrees, Kris has obtained several certifications. They received the Florida Certified Public Manager certification from Florida State University in August 2020. Moreover, Kris attained the Post-Crisis Leadership Certificate and Certified Supervisory Manager certification from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in April and July 2020, respectively. They also completed the Mental Health First Aid training offered by the National Council for Behavioral Health in August 2020. Recently, Kris obtained the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in December 2022. They have also completed two Excel-related certifications: Excel Essential Training (Microsoft 365) from LinkedIn in April 2023 and Excel PivotTables: Mastering PivotTables and PivotCharts, also from LinkedIn, in May 2023.
