Lorraine Vega

Lorraine Vega is former Senior VP, Corporate Philanthropy of the KeyBank Foundation. She was responsible for grant making with civic and health and human services organizations as well as serving as liaison for KeyBank’s Western and Rocky Mountain regions. In addition, she lead the Foundation’s national partnership grant with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and provided leadership and guidance for KeyBank’s disaster response program, national program grants, employee giving programs, senior leader nonprofit board placement and community relations profile in Hispanic communities across the franchise. During her tenure as Senior Vice President of Corporate Diversity, KeyCorp was named a DiversityInc Top 50 Company for Diversity in 2005 and 2007, was a DiversityInc 25 Noteworthy Company in 2006, and achieved a perfect rating of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index in 2007.

Prior to joining KeyBank, Ms. Vega was Chief Operating Officer of the United Way of Central Carolinas in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was Director of Community Initiatives & Information and Referral of United Way Services in Cleveland. She was the founding director of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Educational Service Center in New Haven, Connecticut and taught adult and middle school students in the New Haven Public School System.

Ms. Vega is Chair of Lutheran Hospital Board of Trustees. She previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for Business Volunteers Unlimited, The Center for Nonprofit Excellence and a Member at Large of National Urban Fellows Inc.

Ms. Vega is a graduate of the National Urban/Rural Fellows and was a W.K. Kellogg/LULAC intern in the LULAC National Education Office in Washington, D.C.
