Courtney Nurre

Director, Learning Programs at The Cleveland Orchestra

Courtney Nurre, M.A. is an accomplished arts administrator and educator with extensive experience in music and community programs. Currently serving as the Director of Learning Programs at The Cleveland Orchestra, Courtney has held various roles within the organization since July 2018. Previous experience includes owning Cleveland Cocktail Piano from April 2018 to August 2022 and working as a Teaching Artist/Music Director at Cleveland Play House. Additional roles include AYS Coordinator and Gala Coordinator at Akron Symphony Orchestra, Graduate Assistant at the University of Akron, and an Arts Administrative Intern at Summit Choral Society. Earlier career highlights feature a position as a Music Teacher with Renhill Companies and performing as a Pianist for Holland America Cruise Line. Courtney holds a Kodaly Certification from Capital University, a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from the University of Akron, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Teacher Education and Piano from the University of Mount Union.
