William Muecke

William (Will) Muecke has served as Independent Director of our board of directors since March 2021. Since July 2017, Will has been co-founder and managing member of Artemis Growth Partners, an ESG and impact-oriented private equity platform with over $350 million of assets under management and dedicated to investing 100% in the cannabis industry worldwide. From 2008 to 2017, Muecke was a co-founder and managing partner of CoreCo Private Equity, a multilateral-backed Latin American private equity fund. From 2000 to 2008, Will held senior positions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. serving as managing director and global co-head of healthcare services sector in the healthcare investment banking group in New York, as well as vice president and co-head of west coast healthcare coverage and, previously, vice president and global co-head of mobile data sector in the communications, media, and entertainment investment banking group in San Francisco. Will was also vice president at Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette in San Francisco. Prior, Will was an associate and an analyst in high yield capital markets at Smith Barney Inc. in New York. With nearly 30 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and investment management, Will has extensive expertise in financial advisory, restructuring, debt and equity funding, and merger negotiations across a wide variety of U.S. and international industries, with specific expertise in the emerging field of global cannabis markets and private equity and venture investing. Will received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Honors Chemistry from Cornell University, and he is a graduate of the FALCon Program in Japanese at Cornell’s Graduate School.
