Team Lead Software QA at Clever Devices

Asad Shah has extensive work experience in software quality assurance. Asad started their career in 1999 at Nortel Networks, where they worked as an Intermediate Software Quality Analyst, focusing on the verification and validation of the Network Inventory Management system. From 2002 to 2003, they joined Blockade Systems Corp. as an Intermediate Software Quality Assurance Analyst, responsible for testing pre-release versions of products and developing test strategies.

In 2003, Asad joined AOL Canada Inc. as a Senior Software QA Engineer and led a team of three QA Engineers in the successful launch of major initiatives. Asad implemented the Silk Test automation tool for AOL's client.

From 2007 to 2018, Asad worked at BlackBerry, initially as a Software Test Specialist II, responsible for the verification of the BlackBerry Provisioning System. Asad later became a Senior Software Test Specialist and played a key role in testing BlackBerry's Unified Endpoint Management suite across multiple platforms. Asad was recognized for their exceptional quality feature testing, finding less than 1% of defects for a complex feature.

Since 2018, Asad has been working at Clever Devices as a Senior Software QA Analyst and currently holds the position of Team Lead, Software QA. Asad is responsible for maintaining high standards of software quality within the team and developing and executing tests to ensure product quality. Asad is proficient in building enterprise-grade software systems on the Microsoft .NET development stack.

Asad Shah completed their high school education at Earl Haig Secondary School, where they obtained a High School Diploma in an unspecified field of study. Asad then attended Seneca College from 1995 to 1998, earning an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in International Business Administration. Following this, from 1998 to 1999, they enrolled at Western University to pursue Business Administration and Management, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree. Finally, from 1999 to 2001, Asad Shah studied Information Technology at York University, without mention of a degree. In terms of additional certifications, Asad Shah obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including "Insights on Software Quality Engineering," "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," "Diversity and Inclusion in a Global Enterprise," and "Unconscious Bias," all in the year 2021.
