System Engineer at Clever Devices

Vincent Wong has extensive work experience in engineering roles. Vincent started their career as an Assembly Floor Intern at Finelite in 2007, where they sorted lighting fixture parts and built and wired fixtures. In 2008, they worked as an Engineer Intern at Finelite, where they created a prototype high-performance recess lighting fixture and implemented an instructional handbook for the assembly process.

In 2010, Vincent interned at Maxwell Technologies as an Ultracap Intern, where they worked with a firmware engineer on an ultracapacitor balancing board module. Vincent analyzed voltage balancing boards, tested various circuit board conditions, and collected data.

In the same year, Vincent was also a Team Leader at Senior Design, where they led a human interactive solid-state lighting project. Vincent designed fixtures for proper light output and heat sinking capabilities and worked with microprocessors, power supplies, solar cells, and sensors.

Vincent joined Pencom in 2011 as an Engineering Intern, where they worked with 3D modeling software, created 3D drawings of components, and designed CNC machines to manufacture stainless steel automobile shift knobs.

From 2012 to 2016, Vincent worked at Kapsch TrafficCom North America as a Staff System Engineer. In this role, they managed, deployed, and supported multiple concurrent releases through various test environments. Vincent also managed and maintained multiple test environments, ensuring their proper setup, configuration, and availability as scheduled.

Currently, Vincent works at Clever Devices since 2016 as a Project Engineer II. Vincent has been responsible for overseeing and managing projects, and more recently, they have taken on the role of System Engineer.

Vincent Wong pursued their education in the field of Electrical Engineering, starting with their Bachelor's degree at UC Irvine from 2007 to 2011. Vincent then went on to pursue a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at San Jose State University from 2012 to 2016.
