Kat Crichton-Seager has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 1997. Kat began their career as a Website Manager at Indie-Culture.com, before moving on to Senior New Media Developer at Black Sun Plc in 1997. Kat then worked as a New Media Developer at WIRELESS DATA SERVICES LIMITED in 2001, and Media Focus Limited in 2000, where they created 3D Animations for GE and other customers, and developed a 3D interactive children's entertainment kiosk cluster. In 2003, they became a Development Team Lead, Outsourcing Team Lead, Technical Project Lead, and Multimedia Team Lead at WDS Global, where they lead a team of 3 multimedia developers and created Device Assist, an interactive 360 degree mobile phone explorer, simulation and tutorial system. Kat then moved on to become a UK Development Team Lead at Xerox in 2013, and a Senior Full Stack Developer at Byhiras (Europe) Limited in 2017. Most recently, they have been the Head of Engineering at ClickMechanic since 2018, where they have been an Agile process (Extreme Programming) coach, technical leadership, TDD mentor, full stack developer, project management, team management, outsource management and sales support.

Kat Crichton-Seager attended Claremont Fan Court from 1984 to 1992, where they obtained A-Levels in Maths, Physics, and Art. Kat then attended De Montfort University to study Computer Science. In December 2013, Kat obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
