Joe Kuhlmann

Joe Kuhlmann joined CSA in 2021 to serve as chief financial officer (CFO), responsible for the financial strategy and operations of the company. He has 25 years of finance and accounting experience within the government contracting industry.

Before CSA, Joe served as chief financial officer of Metis Solutions, where he was responsible for insourcing the accounting operations and creating a finance and accounting infrastructure to support the tremendous growth of Metis. The company more than tripled in size during the four years that Joe served as CFO, culminating in a successful sale to PAE (NASDAQ: PAE, PAEWW) in November of 2020.

Prior to joining Metis, Joe served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Imperatis Corp. He was promoted to this role to help transition a financially challenged company, which included renaming and rebranding, restructuring, reorganization and leading the company through a formal sales process.

Joe also played a central role in the due diligence and integration of several acquisitions and corporate growth initiatives, including the initial public offering of Stanley, Inc. (NYSE: SXE), an information technology business now owned by CGI Federal. While at Stanley, Joe gained valuable experience through multiple finance and accounting roles, including director of business operations, group controller and director of internal audit and compliance.

Joe has a B.S. in Accounting from University of Maryland, College Park and earned his CPA license from the State of Maryland. He resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
