Kirsten Svane

Kirsten Svane is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in communications, fundraising, and animal care. Currently serving as Donor Communications Manager at Climate Action Campaign DC since January 2024, Kirsten has also contributed as a Keeper Aide Volunteer at the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute since March 2022. Previous roles include Grant Writer & Fund Development Manager at Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, where significant contributions were made in developing grant reports and managing annual reports, and Grants Coordinator at Northeast New Jersey Legal Services, where over $1.9 million was successfully raised for various support services. Kirsten's academic foundation includes a Master of Science in Neuroscience from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Muhlenberg College, complemented by research experiences at Rutgers University and Lundbeck.
